Proprietor of Frames on L, Frame Shop and Art Gallery, Erik J. Costello, is an artist you must meet. He is a man with possession of incomparable talent, skill, ability and charm. At a young age Erik found his passion in art, which is evident the moment you walk into his vault of images at Frames on L.
Erik combines techniques from old masters creating new amazing one-of-a-kind masterpieces. Erik can transform any image into a “life-like” 3D paper sculpture using precision, hand cut and crafted multi-layered prints and pictures.
Erik’s work is a collaboration of his passion for rock and roll, new media, and memories that keep people happy in at heart. His success through local and regional comic conventions beginning in the 1990’s has made Erik the go-to artist for comic book artists who want their art to come to life (and many different dimensions).
In 2009, Erik embarked on taking his artistry and talent to the next level when he opened Frames on L, in Williamsburg, Brooklyn. Erik has been an avid framer of his own work beginning with a simple civil engineering project in college. Since this time, he has worked at various facilities in the metropolitan area honing and advancing his framing skills. He has perfected his craft and is dedicated to serving artists like himself with fair and just prices to reinforce his philosophy. Erik has framed pieces for artists currently on tour throughout the United States and Europe, and offers space regularly at Frames on L for artists to display their projects.
At Frames On L you will see an ever-changing gallery of amazing art collections, contributed from local and world-famous artists, as well as many of Erik’s own masterpieces.
As a philanthropist at heart, Erik is dedicated to many social causes, he supports Darfur Rehabilitation Project and Share our Strength as well as many local community based organizations.
